There’s still a lot of things to do in PGN (www.JoinPGN.com), and since I just started blogging again. This will be a good place to post them so I can get back to them later.
For the portal:
- Integrate Community Builder in Joomla 1.0.x.
- Integrate a private messaging system for the portal.
- Add/Replace/Remove modules in the JoinPGN.com portal.
- Sketch some design and layout in case I get bored of version 6.0.
- Update the overall content of the portal.
For the servers:
- Finalize AMX Bans so admins don’t need to use different kinds of ban commands. Now all they have to do is use amx_banmenu.
- Add a grenade spam punish plug-in on the servers.
- Add a decent AFK plug-in that switches AFKs to Spectate that way they don’t just sit around when a round begins. I don’t like kicking AFKs that is why I just want them to switch to Spectate.
- Add more maps to the servers.
- Change the Gun Game vote map option to the AWP level instead of the Grenade level.
And I haven’t told PGN yet but Branzone offered me a couple new servers in new locations (Atlanta, Virginia, New York, & London). I also asked Branzone if I can get another 32 slot CS 1.6 server in the Los Angeles area. Hopefully, they approve of that one so I can finally remove the Classic – CA server in a better location. I also asked Branzone if they can provide PGN two new servers other than the CS 1.6 ones that I’ve requested. The two new servers will be a Day Of Defeat server and a Condition Zero server (Hopefully they are 32 slots).
I just send another support ticket for Branzone asking them when is the ETA for the new servers to arrive. I’m not expecting any of them to be approve (Since I’m a pessimistic person) but hopefully given PGN’s popularity…hopefully they approve of all of it.
Hmm, I also have a 1U rack server sitting in my house right now which I was going to send to Centauri Communications. Josh (One of the owners of Centauri Communications) said that it has to wait since they are currently busy and are looking for other locations. The server specs are:
2x Opteron 246 2.0 GHz processors
1GB of ECC DDR Ram
120GB Hard Drive
If this ever gets shipped and hosted by Centauri Communications, it’ll be used to host different stuff. Probably a 1000 slot Team Speak server for the masses. As long as it’s gaming related, Josh said he wouldn’t mind. And I intend to keep my promise to him of only hosting ‘gaming-related’ stuff.
