With the way things are going now…I need to send my 1U server to Josh A.S.A.P. because the JoinPGN.com portal is growing too fast and with the amount of users registering everyday to join our community, hosting game servers together with LAMP isn’t a good idea.
1U Dedicated Server Specs:
2x AMD Opteron 2.0GHz (Single Core, Dual CPU)
1x 1GB DDR ECC RAM
1x 120 GB HDD
2U Dedicated Server Specs:
1x Intel C2D 1.86 GHz (Dual Core, Single CPU)
2x 2GB DDR2 RAM
2x 300 GB HDD
With all that being said, I can’t really run a lot of game servers with the 2U right now because of the way LAMP uses all of my CPU. I need to move it to the 1U server and then once it’s setup there, I can setup a couple of small servers (16 slots) like fun servers. Once the 2U is empty and I’ve transferred everything, I’ll start hosting the bigger game servers again.
I’ve already tried twice to ask Josh if I can send the 1U over but he hasn’t really replied yet with a yes. I will try again once school is over. Hopefully he says yes because I really need that 1U server up and running so I can host more game servers.
