AMD 64 X2 4200+ 2.2GHz @ 2.8GHz

Haha, so yeah I manage to squeeze more than 500MHz more on this cpu. Considering that it’s quite old, I’m still impressed by it since I don’t play games that much anymore I’m going to squeeze in as much extra juice as I can to my hardware. It’s idling kind of hot right now – around 50 degrees celcius but this is only on stock HSF from AMD and I’m only running one 120mm fan in my Lian Li PC P60 Armorsuit case. I have three at the front and one 140mm on top. I haven’t used them since I’m still contemplating what to do with these blue LEDs. They bother me a lot and I don’t want my computer to be all shiny and flashy. I’ll probably buy three 120mm fans, one 140mm fan from New Egg just so I can replace these damn blue lit fans.

I’m also hoping to buy a water cooling kit – the Swiftech H2O 120 Compact, looks like it’ll do the job for me and it’s quite pretty to look at. And right now I still don’t know whether I’m applying the thermal paste the right way or not. I’ll redo it later once I buy the rest of the stuff for my computer. Anyway, back to stability testing…
