As soon as I check my e-mail this morning, I saw a ‘Branzone’ e-mail. It was about the Zombie Mod server taking too much resources and they asked me to take it down and choose a different mod. Since they’re the ones providing the server for free…all I could do is say yes to them. I don’t mind it at all don’t get me wrong, Branzone is awesome man…they’re one of the best.
One more thing is that they asked if we will drop Boosted Servers as a sponsor since they want to be the main game server sponsor for PGN, I asked them what do I get in return for that and they told me that they’ll instantly give me a server for all their locations. That’s an offer I can’t refused…seriously, hehe. So I left Mark of Boosted Servers a message about what has just transpired during my conversation with Brandon Miller CEO/President of Branzone. I hope he understands…and that unless he has something up his sleeve to upset that offer.
There’s also a bunch of updates I need to do, damn it. I’m in the start of my vacation and I won’t be back until around mid-July…and after than I’ll be doing summer classes and then it’ll be the start of the Fall 2008 semester. I am having less and less time to deal with PGN, thankfully I have some volunteers that really step up to the challenge (Thanks guys!).
Anyway, so yeah…PGN now has CA, WA, TX, IL, VA, GA, NY, and UK. That’s a total of 8 servers. If this keeps up and Zombie Mod takes up a lot of resources, I’ll probably have to transfer it to my dedicated server.
That server can handle at least four 32 slot servers plus a match server, so that means I can have a total of twelve 32 slot servers all in all. Damn! Or maybe host a couple of 16 slot servers for Aim maps etc.
Anyway, I’ll still keep in touch with you guys as much as I can.
