Hahaha! Indeed, there was a problem with the PGNRO clients (Full and Patch versions) as end-users were getting errors each and every time they use it. Some doesn’t see the skill tree while some still sees Korean text all over their RO screens. I fixed it though! And how I fixed it was a bit of a big step as a PGNRO admin for me. I never thought I would be using .grf files this early. Who knows maybe .exe installers are next! Watch out! Oh and someone actually made a review about PGNRO and they gave it a 92/100. Hmm, not bad! The obvious pitfalls are economy and guild wars since there’s basically like less than 100 people playing…let alone registered. All of that is about to change! Hopefully! I’m pretty sure those people stopped playing because of the client problems…so please do come back! Lol. Anyway, I’m tired…I spent all night trying to figure out how to do the .grf thing. So ta ta!

There Was A Problem But I Fixed It
Wednesday, July 30th, 2008PGN RO Update (Part 3)
Monday, July 14th, 2008Hmm after waiting for a while, someone was kind enough to do all the hard work to compile eAthena on a 64 bit GNU/Linux system. That’s awesome! So I decided to give Ragnarok Online another try. And since this is a compiled version already, all I have to do is configure stuff and that’s what I did! Did I tell you that it’s working? Hahaha! How awesome is that? I now have a working private Ragnarok Online server. It’s far from having the PGN touch that I always do which is do customize almost everything and keep it clean and organize. Right now it’s all about just getting the stuff to work properly and although I can connect to the server just fine, I still have to figure out how to properly distribute the client once I get it to work and patch automatically. This way PGN RO players would just run the client and boom! It automatically updates itself.
To add, looks like I have to transfer split joinpgn.com into two portals, one for FPS games and one for MMORPG…I dunno though, I like it to have one central website which is joinpgn.com and then just different forums and other stuff to handle it. But we’ll see. With the volatility of the FPS community, we’ll never know. PGN RO communities are much more stable when done right compared to FPS communities which PGN currently has right now.
So hopefully everything turns out well before Fall 2008.
Project Beauty & Madness (Part 1)
Saturday, July 5th, 2008It’s a given, I love computers and I would love to modify a computer case whenever I can. Now don’t think that I’ll be putting fancy lights, integrated LCD monitors, or painting it with funky colours…I am a minimalist and for me, less is more and the simpler it looks the better it is for me. If you still don’t get it, it’s all in the details and usually it’s on the unseen details that I really want to shine like cable management. I hate wires hence the reason why I bought a wireless keyboard and mouse.
Anyway, without any further ado, I present to you my plans on how I want a computer case to look like.
