Did I ever tell you guys that I am a huge Fallout fan? I’ve been playing the game ever since it was first released back in 1997 – That’s 11 years ago! I was still attending high school back in the Philippines. Aah good times…good times.
I’ve spent countless hours traveling Fallout’s wastelands. I still had a dial-up connection way back and patching Fallout 1 and 2 was a pain in the ass especially when the new patch fubars your precious saved game files! It didn’t affect me that much in Fallout 1, however in Fallout 2 which is a lot larger than the original Fallout…that’s when things like this stuff that they call game patches really mess things up. It really a pain in the ass when the first couple of patches came out for Fallout 2. Why? Because they were huge files! Remember I’m on dial-up and I wasn’t even on a 56k connection, I was on a 28.8k connection. Just imagine the agony and wait-time I had to endure during those days.
And now, 10 years after the original Fallout game was released…Fallout 3 finally comes out! Guess what I did? I bought myself a Fallout 3 Collector’s Edition!
I’ve spent a total of $102.25 for this game mind you. That’s $69.99 for the collector’s edition, $24.99 for the strategy guide (Even though I don’t need one.), and $7.27 for the sales tax! I will probably buy a NIB (New In Box) Fallout 1 and Fallout 2 just so I can say I have them all – I don’t know if the CD’s back in the Philippines still work so…might as well just buy another one.
I also bought a couple of white boards so I can take pictures under a white background, hehehe. Anyway here’s my Fallout 3 collection.
Now time to find a NIB Fallout 1 and 2. And then take pictures of those stuff too.
