Project Backyard Restoration/Renovation (Part 1)

Thursday, December 11th, 2008

I’ve been dying to find the time to clean up my backyard so I can do some amateur restoration/renovation on it (Think Learning Experience.), and I was finally able to get most of it done today. I don’t have the before pictures where in it was all dirty and it had a lot of the leaves that fell from my neighbours’ trees. I only have the after pictures. I’m still not 100% done in cleaning it. I just blew out all the leaves and set my mower to it’s lowest possible position. Anyway, take a look at the pictures.

Payment From ADSDAQ

Monday, December 8th, 2008

I signed up for ADSDAQ a couple of months ago and I got accepted as a publisher. If you know what ADSDAQ is, they are an advertising exchange company operated by ContextWeb. Inc. They do CPM (Cost Per Thousand) instead of CPC (Cost Per Click). So if you have a big community that has a lot of written content and a very active user base, CPM ads might be the one for you. And the best part for ADSDAQ is that you can set your own rates. I think that’s their biggest advantage from the rest since if you set it a bit high, you won’t get some bad-quality ads (Probably because the ones that do have money are the ones that have high quality ads).

My Current Headset (SteelSeries Siberia)

Monday, December 8th, 2008

Fall semester just got done and I’m finally free again! Lot’s of stuff needs to be done like clean the front and back yards, detail the car, et al. On a side note, I think I did bad this Fall semester, I might even fail one class. This is a fact, I hate quizzes…I always do bad on them most of the time. Oh well.

Anyway! I took a picture of my current headset. It’s a SteelSeries Siberia Full-size Headset in black. Initially I was going to buy a wireless headphone (Not a headset) since I’m not really into gaming that much. I only took one picture right now since I have no idea how to take pictures properly – I want it to have this catalogue’ish look.

Goodbye Sulphur…Hello Cambridge

Tuesday, December 2nd, 2008

I finally updated to Fedora 10 after a couple of days that it launched. So far everything looks good, I don’t have any problems whatsoever unlike other people. Maybe they used the preupgrade/preupgrade-cli instead of YUM. Most people will tell you not to use YUM since it may be the one that might break your system. But in all honesty the YUM upgrade option is the only one that’s been 100% error free when I upgrade to a newer version of Fedora.

I had to say godbye to this.

And say hello to another beautiful default (Mind you!) desktop!

I did the YUM upgrade on my HP DV9000 laptop. Wi-fi’s working…sound playback’s working…flash is working too! Though I heard there’s an RPM for x86_64 flash now. I still don’t know if I’m going to upgrade or not, maybe I will later when I have the time to explore Fedora 10 to see if everything works for real.
