Project Beauty & Madness (Part 6)

A little bit of progress as I drilled the rivets that hold the case. This makes it a lot easier for me to sand and paint it.

First off! Safety first hence the goggles and mask. I used a 1/8″ drill bit to drill out the rivets, here’s a before and after pictures. The last picture has all the parts that I’ll be sanding.

Overall, it took me 15+ minutes to drill everything out, that includes surfing the web for some safety guidelines, other people’s work logs to get some sort of idea and a bit of inspiration, and other stuff. Next step is to make three holes on the motherboard tray so I can pass most of the wires underneath the motherboard tray thus leaving a cleaner look.

I also took the time to take off the stickers on my PSU, I haven’t gotten to sleeve them yet though, probably next weekend hahaha. This is what it looks like after taking the stickers off.

No problem, we’ll use Goof Off: The Ultimate Remover!

Remember to wear a mask and some protection for your eyes! Just spray a couple on the sticker, enough to make it wet.

I then used a plastic card to remove what’s left.

Everything’s nice and clean now! Hahaha. That’s enough for the day, I need to do some other stuff now.
