Install Windows Vista Snipping Tool

For those of you that do not have Windows Vista’s Snipping Tool installed, here’s how to install it. Keep in mind that you need to at least have Microsoft Windows Vista Home Premium to be able to install the Snipping Tool.

Click Start ->Control Panel -> Programs and Features -> Turn Windows Features on or off. Now select Tablet PC Optional Components and click Ok.

If you’re going to start it for the first time then just click Start and then type Snipping Tool and it should be the first program to come up on your search. It’ll ask you if you want to install a shortcut on your quick launch bar. If you’re like me who likes to take screenshots everyday then I suggest you do it.

Happy snipping!

I have the same problem as Chuck. All of a sudden, the Snipping Tool will not allow me to save. I can attatch the snip to an e-mail and get it that way. But it has worked like a charm and just has stopped working. I tried to find it in the CAB files in C:\windows, but the SnippingToo.exe in the CAB file, although it is the same size, has a differnet date and when i try to run it, the command prompt window appears for an instant and then disappears. Microsoft will not let me download the Tablet pack because it says I already have it! How can I get a clean version to reinstall? c h u c k _ p e t i t [at] y a h o o [dot] c o m
