My computer table’s keyboard/mouse drawer has been broken for almost a year now. I mean it’s not totally broken wherein you can’t use it. But the wood that’s supposed to hold the drawer is loose and sometimes it derails the drawer and you know what’s next…the keyboard/mouse falls down. I was going to strap two metal L-shape supports for it but then it’ll look ugly right? I mean here I am again…trying to make something look pretty even though I won’t be looking at it 24/7. But still! I mean, you guys understand me right? The people that have OCD right? Right? I found a solution and (4 hours later) it’s still holding like a champ.
The solution…Gorilla Wood Glue: For the toughest jobs on planet Earth! Labeled as Incredibly Strong and 100% Tough this has got to be it. The glue that will rule them all! I mean…it’s not just marketing right? This wood glue set me back $4.27 at Home Depot. For less than $5, it is supposed to solve my problem! No more falling keyboard/mouse when you accidentally lean over the keyboard/mouse drawer! Whoopie.
So what exactly is wrong anyway?
See the red dotted line? That’s where I applied the glue. This is the piece of wood that’s been holding the keyboard/mouse drawing. Instructions says to keep it together for 20-30 minutes. I did it for more than 1 hour using a heavy duty clamp.
Don’t forget to put some tissue paper or some cloth so that your table won’t get scratched if you are going to do this. After more than 1 hour of being clamped, I put back the keyboard/mouse drawer and leaned over it…it didn’t bulge. I repeat, it did not bulge! Hooray Gorilla Wood Glue!
I’m going to rate Gorilla Wood Glue with a 5 out of 5 star. It’s cheap, it does the job (for me), odorless, and it looks like nothing happened at all. The computer table is back to normal. Damn that really took out a lot of ‘QQ’ from me.
