“libgcc_s.so.1 must be installed for pthread_cancel to work” Error

Friday, January 29th, 2010

Here’s another error I encountered (I forgot where and when). The problem was that I had the x86_64 or 64 bit version. I fixed it by installing the i386 or 32 bit version as well.

[root@leaf01 ~]# yum install libgcc
Loaded plugins: refresh-packagekit
Setting up Install Process
Package libgcc-4.3.2-7.x86_64 already installed and latest version
Nothing to do
[root@leaf01 ~]# yum install libgcc-4.3.2-7.i386

“You’ve run a full marathon with Nike+”

Sunday, January 24th, 2010

Ooooh yeah baby. Look at my first run, it was a measly .78 miles. I’m doing a constant 5 miles now and the current improvement that I want to do is to make my pacing better. AAAAAUUUUUGGGGGAAAAA. I just want to run guys…that’s all I want to do now on my spare time. Parties? Get out of here. Slacking? Not a chance. Beer? No way. Smoking? Hell no. Drugs? Are you kidding me? I can safely say that I’m slowly getting there.

First Run

I am not a runner…yet. I will be in a couple of months.

Just how fragmented my HDD is?

Saturday, January 2nd, 2010

I got a free license for O&O’s Defrag 10 Pro last year and I intend to use it! I’ve always had this perception that for Vista…’home users’ shouldn’t worry too much about fragmentation since Vista does a good job about it. Here’s O&O’s 1st test.
